National Archives

In early November we took the boys on another field trip into D.C. to visit the National Archives.  Nathan and I found all of it very interesting, as did Zachary - but the younger two...not so much.

Favorite quote from the day comes from Eli, "Why in the world did George Washington scribble scrabble on all these papers?!?"

Not too many pictures as they are forbidden inside the building.  But it was a great day.

Also, even though the boys got to see The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights and so much more - you'll never guess what impressed them the most.  The actual deed that Charles Ingalls signed to purchase the lot where Little House on the Prairie was born.  Forget America, it's all about Pa Ingalls!!  #andtheyareonlykids
