National Harbor & The National Children's Museum

On July 17th, we took a family field trip over the Potomac River to National Harbor, Maryland.  There is a Children's Museum there that I really wanted to take the boys to go and see.  When researching it, I found out months ago that on this night was a special family fun night and everyone could get in free!  So we headed down to the pier for lunch, rode the famous "Capitol Wheel" which is actually taller than the Statue of Liberty, shopped around the local shops, played in the sand with some weird guy that was half buried (lol) and then headed up to the museum.  The kids had a great time there that night with free crafts, shows and playtime.  I'm so glad that we got to go to this place -- and I'm even more excited that it was FREE!  After the museum closed, we headed back to the pier for the sunset.  It was a beautiful, beautiful day!

We grabbed a quick bite from the McDonald's dollar menu on the way home.  Eli and Zachary filled their tummies and Tyler...well, he made it through half of his meal!
