Aside from the fact that our family field trips have proven already to be a lot of fun, we are really enjoying the family time we get on a daily basis.
We are LOVING this new Virginia air and all of it's wonderful allergens it has to share! Lol...
We enjoyed some local BBQ one Sunday night!
The boys worked on their first entry into their "Family Field Trip" journals.
We went out for icecream one night just because we could! The boys thought that was awesome!
We've enjoyed our pool and taught the boys some major life lessons here: Tyler learned how to jump in from the side of the pool, Eli is learning how to swim without floaties and all of the boys are learning the art of a belly buster!
We've cheered on our Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team all the way from Northern Virginia!
One morning I came home from work and found Nathan mastering the art of homemade waffles!
We've played dress up!
And we went to a local teacher store for more homeschool supplies. Apparently there is a huge homeschool movement up here and so most of the teacher stores have fun activities for the kids. The boys got to make a craft while I shopped. And the store gave us a schedule of free craft time once a week where the boys can go and do things in a "classroom" setting. Very cool.
Zachary built Mount Vernon!
Some of our favorites not pictured here so far have been the fact that we get to have a family dinner together every night, we are back to nightly bedtime stories and devotions, and we are half way through season one of Little House on the Prairie! We are loving this new life!
